FITBA4U commenced July 2011.  The programme raises motivation, fitness levels and improves self esteem and engagement.  It gives participants football/sports training, employability and life skills.

Mission Statement

"To engage clients over 16 year who are experiencing homelessness, are accessing mental health/ addiction services or in full time education.  To provide a structured sport, employability and heath programme that helps build confidence, improve health, extend social networks and develops skills, qualifications and goals moving towards employment education and training.”

Criteria for inclusion on the programme:
  • Experiencing homelessness
  • Accessing Mental Health and/or Addiction Services
  • Part or Fulltime education
  • 16 years old and over

Kilwinning Sports Club, Kilwinning
Every Tuesday from 12 – 3pm that includes-

1.    Weekly training session consisting of:
  • 45 minutes health/social/ employability session
  • 45 minutes training and baseline data information
  • 1 hour football match/ gym session

2.    Employability modules including CV writing, job searches, explaining benefits system from Wise Group

3.    Health and Social session including sun safety, dental health, smoking cessation, sexual health, addiction services, healthy eating, podiatry, BBV testing, & Credit Union.
