NATIONAL TAKE HOME NALOXONE PROGRAMME – NEW INFORMATION MATERIALS (click here)

The Scottish Government is supporting the roll out of the National Naloxone Programme in Scotland which is being managed and coordinated by the Scottish Drugs Forum.

To increase awareness of the programme, new naloxone information materials have been produced. The intention of these materials is to raise awareness of what naloxone is and what it can do for those at risk of opiate overdose, their families, carers and friends. This year the information materials include 4 different posters, leaflets, business cards and drug-related deaths booklets.

The Scottish Government continues to work closely with members of Scotland’s National Naloxone Advisory Group. The Group continues to review the delivery of the programme so that it can be continually developed and targeted to ensure that the number of kits being issued increases and that take home naloxone is available to those vulnerable to opiate overdose.

If you would like any further information on the new information materials or would like to request additional copies, please contact the National Co-ordinator, Kirsten Horsburgh, at
kirsten@sdf.org.uk.
